Synopsis
How far would you go for a friend? For nearly two decades, at a remote Pacific island, Terry formed an extraordinary bond with Willy—a giant, 22-foot-wide manta ray. Every day, Willy would slap a wing on the hull of the boat, Terry would put on SCUBA and go for a ride on Willy's back. Nearing the end of his life, Terry is mounting one last expedition to a remote island to search for his friend Willy. In the spirit of Grizzly Man and My Octopus Teacher, The Last Dive explores humankind's relationship with the natural world. Terry’s search for his old friend reveals a highly intelligent species that is communicating with humans in ways that science does not yet understand.
